It may be after Labor Day, but summer isn’t over at the Lawn on D. The Lawn is rolling out the family fun for weeks to come. We’re just dressing a little warmer these days, and if you dig that old flannel shirt out of your closet, you can even help the Lawn set a world rec­ord on “Flannel Friday.”

Sponsored by Harpoon Brewery — which has brought back its fall-themed ale called Flannel Friday — the Lawn will award prizes for the best and most creative flannel getups (including tickets to Harpoon’s Octoberfest, where you can try the new beer if you’re old enough). At the end of the evening, they’ll take a photo and try to beat the Guinness world record for the most flannel shirts in one place. Since we can recall seeing a good few thousand at a Pearl Jam show back in the day, that’s going to be a tough record to beat.
