The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority announced today that new interactive installations, a foodie-friendly bites and beverage menu, numerous infrastructure upgrades, and free community events highlight Season 11 at the Lawn on D, which opens on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Two marquee additions are now part of the Lawn on D experience: the Kaleidoscope Garden and Urban Grove interactive installations. Both installations are illuminated in the night sky with customizable LED lighting, giving visitors new spaces to reflect and relax at all times of the day.

On Thursday, 6/6/24 at approximately 6:15pm, a temporary pump that was in use while performing sprinkler system maintenance dislodged causing the outflow of water outside of the Hynes Convention Center. Both the MCCA and BFD were on the scene within minutes and succeeded in shutting down the water flow after a short period. MCCA officials in coordination with local public safety agencies will continue to monitor the site until the maintenance is complete.

The garage is now equipped with mini universal scanners designed by Parkonect, a Chicago based company that works closely with parking resellers to deliver a more convenient service.

Boston— The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) was happy to assist in the Annual South Boston Street Festival this past Saturday, September 17th. The MCCA has made it a tradition to support the event by supply staging, event furniture, sound systems and electronic equipment each year.
The festival kicked off at 11:00am on East Broadway between L and I Street in South Boston and featured non-stop entertainment throughout the afternoon. (Community Assistance by Responsible Events) program donated over 5,500 items left over from past events to St. Patrick’s Church of Roxbury as part of an ongoing effort by the state authority to help its events give back to the Boston community while minimizing their environmental impact.
