    Board Member

    Carlos Aramayo is the President of UNITE HERE Local 26, the Union for hospitality workers in the greater Boston area and Rhode Island. He is also a Vice President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, an International Vice President of UNITE HERE and a trustee of UNITE HERE Health and the Greater Boston Hospitality Employers Trust.

    Cindy Brown is the Chief Executive Officer for Boston Duck Tours, responsible for managing a staff of over 140 employees and all aspects of the company. In 1994, she was hired as Marketing and Sales Director, later being promoted to General Manager in 1997, then assuming the role of President of SEAWEED INCORPORATED, General Partner for Boston Duck Tours before becoming CEO of the company.

    Meg Mainzer-Cohen has served as President and Executive Director of the Back Bay Association since 2000. She collaborates with a board of 40 business leaders, provides strategic advice to companies managing business development, and works with them to gain city approvals and build support during the public permitting process.

    Sheena Collier is the Founder & CEO of The Collier Connection (TCC) and Boston While Black (BWB). She has 20 years of experience in business development, growth strategy, brokering partnerships, and event design.

  • Xiomara Albán DeLobato

    Board Member

    Xiomara has over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors. As Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Western Massachusetts Economic Development Council (EDC), she is instrumental in facilitating the growth and development of the region's economy.

  • Michael Donovan

    Board Member

    Mike was appointed to the MCCA Board by Mayor Michelle Wu. He is the South Boston Community Representative. Mike formerly served in County Government for 40 years as the (elected) Clerk Magistrate of the Superior Court Department of the Trial Court for Suffolk County.

  • Michael F. Flaherty, Esq.

    Michael F. Flaherty is a twenty-year At-Large member of the Boston City Council, where he recently chose to not seek re-election. A lifelong resident of South Boston, he is a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and Boston University School of Law.

  • Matthew Gorzkowicz


    Matthew Gorzkowicz has more than 25 years' experience in state finance and budgeting in the Commonwealth. Prior to being appointed as Administration and Finance Secretary in the Healey-Driscoll Administration, he served as the Associate Vice President for Administration and Finance at the University of Massachusetts President's Office for more than a decade. In this position, he had a direct role in setting the University’s long-range administrative and financial goals and managed the development of an annual operating budget of $3.8 billion

    Ashley Groffenberger was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Collector-Treasurer for the City of Boston in August 2022. Previously, Groffenberger served as the Budget Director for the City and County of San Francisco.

    Dr. Aisha Miller is the Vice President of Permitting, Community, and Corporate Engagement for Related Beal. Previously, former U.S. Labor Secretary and former Mayor of Boston, Martin J. Walsh, appointed Dr. Miller to Chief of the Civic Engagement Cabinet for the City of Boston.
